Respecto a pornografía, es importante tener en cuenta que la apreciación varía de acuerdo a la sensibilidad individual, a la época, al ambiente cultural de quién observa e, incluso, al escenario político - geográfico y legislativo en donde se pretende realizar o exhibir una imagen fotográfica. Por esas razones es que existe una franja en la que ciertas imágenes puede resultar pornográfica para muchos pero, la misma fotografía, puede ser vista como erótica o artística para otros.
Saliéndose de esa franja y yéndose a los extremos, encontramos que pornografía es lo genitalmente explícito y no da lugar a la imaginación puesto que todo es obvio. Para que una imagen sea definida como pornográfica no es preciso que contenga escenas copulativas puesto que una sola persona puede usar su propio cuerpo para representar varias situaciones suficientemente obscenas y pornográficas. En mi propio gusto, discrepo con la típica pornografía porque carece de sentido lógico, no hay argumento y más parece una parodia circense muy distante de lo que la gente hace, piensa, sueña y vive realmente.
Lo erótico puede ser carnal pero amoroso, con bastante intención pero escasa genitalidad; los protagonistas son la provocación, las formas y curvas de uno o más modelos, casi siempre en pareja, quienes producen una imagen obvia pero inconclusa que pica sutilmente la imaginación de los espectadores y propician ciertas conclusiones; en lo erótico la incitación no es sesgada ni limita la imaginación, de tal manera que cada cual también puede crear su propio desenlace basándose en la imagen.
El desnudo artístico se basa en la simple exposición de la figura humana: cuerpos sanos, tonificados y trabajados que casi siempre tienen proporciones adecuadas y deseables. En algunos casos se prefiere retratar a modelos con figuras voluptuosas o, lo opuesto, escuálidas, estilizadas o virginales. Los modelos y fotógrafos evitan cualquier sugerencia evidente, dándole absoluta libertad a la imaginación de los observadores. La ausencia de vestiduras es un componente exhibicionista que se convierte en la más fuerte de las sugerencias.
En el desnudo artístico y en el arte erótico he descubierto incompatibilidades personales puesto que encuentro imágenes demasiado perfectas en las que se excluye a la gente común cuyo físico no cumple con un cliché que pretende definir la belleza en cada época.
Parte de las cualidades de los fotógrafos profesionales son que, cuando observamos el entorno, tenemos la capacidad de ver y exaltar en una foto detalles que se le escapan al desprevenido observador, pero también tenemos la posibilidad de fabricar fantasías visuales que poco tienen que ver los contextos reales. La pornografía, el erotismo y el desnudo artístico comercial se fueron alejando de los detalles vistos en escenas de la vida real y los fotógrafos se dedicaron a la fabricación de utopías y al seguimiento de ciertos íconos que garantizan la atención y venta, entonces la fotografía del individuo común en su realidad íntima quedó en manos ese mismo individuo que, usando Polaroid y después digital, se volvió fotógrafo.
Actualmente podemos ver en Internet millones de fotografías caseras carentes de sentido y desprovistas de la mínima técnica, fotos que compiten con trabajos profesionales que muestran gente famosa desnuda, cuerpos jóvenes perfectos y en situaciones tan sexualmente explícitas y extravagantes, que ya no sorprenden y hasta aburren.
En mi papel de observador o consumidor no me siento satisfecho con ninguna de las dos modalidades, entonces he tratado de integrar los que me gusta de varias tendencias y darle inicio al movimiento del Försterotismo.
¿Qué es o en qué consiste el Försterotismo?
Lo cierto es que en el mundo hay más “feos” que “bonitos”, hay mujeres embarazadas, personajes maduros, hay gente con malformaciones, personas flacas o gordas que despiertan pasiones inimaginables pero que no son tenidas en cuenta para hacer las fotografías que usualmente llegan al público. Por otra parte, dentro del común de la gente hay quienes llevan una vida sexual típicamente activa o sorprendentemente inquieta que físicamente no se parecen en nada a los modelos de ese mundo irreal y perfecto de la fotografía comercial donde la silicona y las lujosas escenografías hacen parte primordial de unas imágenes que están muy lejanas de la realidad en que vivimos la mayoría de mortales.
El Försterotismo es un movimiento o estilo fotográfico que parte de las típicas experiencias íntimas de la mayoría de la gente, ya sea de aquellas almas que se sienten conformes, las aburridas, las que se lanzan a una aventura ocasional o de gente que vive en constante aventura. Todos sabemos lo que hay debajo de las ropas, casi todos hacemos las mismas maromas en la cama, pero algunos tienen tendencias exhibicionitas, en otros prevalece la curiosidad y hay quienes quisieran ver a otros en ciertas situaciones íntimas, ojala en buenas fotografías que se apeguen a un contexto más real y que no sea en un escenario o situaciones tan evidentemente preparadas. El Försterotismo se basa en realidades, entonces requiere de modelos que se asemejen a las personas comunes que pueden ser presentadas tal y como son o con las “ayuditas” con que se beneficia a los modelos profesionales.
Pero en la vida real también hay gente que comúnmente hace cosas que otros no se atreven a experimentar o que sencillamente no han tenido la oportunidad de hacerlo; hay sitios públicamente conocidos que son frecuentemente visitados por algunos pero resultan desconocidos para los menos arriesgados que, en el fondo, quisieran conocer y saber lo que ocurre en su interior. Por eso es tan importante que, en el Försterotismo, las escenografías en que se realicen las fotos de estudio sean muy parecidas a los lugares en donde viven o usualmente acude el común de la gente o que se recreen atmósferas que trasmitan las mismas sensaciones.
En el Försterotismo el papel del fotógrafo es más documental, actúa como observador y devoto ilustrador de realidades donde lo más importante es que el resultado se vea casual, espontáneo y, ojala, posea un toque artístico.
Y... ¿Dónde estaría el arte?
Puede estar en la historia vivida y contada por alguien común y en la forma como es puesta en una escena fotográfica; puede estar en el recuerdo que se produce en cada uno de nosotros cuando se encuentra con esas imágenes de cuerpos desnudos abrazados, acoplados o tendidos en un baño, en una alcoba o en una cama parecida a la propia o a la del vecino o a la de una amiga. El arte puede estar en el rubor del casto observador ó ¿por qué no? en la vanidad de personas comunes que superaron el pudor y, con orgullo o asombro, ven o muestran sus lances y sus intimidades impresas en un papel fotográfico.
El arte puede estar en un sitio público y en la oportunidad aprovechada, puede estar en la intimidad del estudio cuando el fotógrafo se hace confidente y guía de aquellas personas cuyo recato rivaliza con la ilusión de protagonizar su propia obra pero que finalmente se lanzan y la logran representar; el arte puede estar en que la fotografía final corresponda a ese episodio vivido para unos, imaginado por otros y criticado por aquellos que no se atrevieron.
El arte puede estar en el fotógrafo que lo quiera plasmar, en todos los valientes que se atrevan a protagonizar o en los ojos del que lo quieran mirar.
¿Por qué llamar a este movimiento “Försterotismo”? Es obvio que la designación parte de mi nombre artístico “Förster” entremezclado con la palabra “erotismo”. En alemán la palabra Förster significa “Guardabosques” y la misión de un guardabosque es preservar la naturaleza de su bosque hasta donde le sea posible.
Parte de los parámetros que definen el Försterotismo como movimiento cultural obligan a que las fotografías partan de un argumento de la vida real y que el fotógrafo preserve la esencia de la historia de la manera más realista posible.
La sexualidad del ser humano puede ser comparada con un bosque lleno de detalles, sorpresas y exuberancias, de manera tal que los fotógrafos que quieran seguir los parámetros del Försterotismo, asumen el compromiso de preservar la historia, al igual que un guardabosque vigila que un lugar se mantenga natural.
